These are all photographs of Meta Harfst Heinsohn. She is almost always pictured with her hair wrapped with a bow. If you look closely, you'll notice she's also wearing the same necklace in almost every photo. The other two women in the bottom left photo are tentatively identified as her daughter, Gerhardine Kasten, and her daughter-in-law, Elise Weishuhn Heinsohn. She lived with her son Otto's family. His two older children, Herbert and Isabel, are pictured with her in the second photo from left. |

1. Marie Catherine (1843 - 1933) married Herman Ludwig RAMTHUN. They lived near Frelsburg and later El Campo.

2. Dietrich Wm. Frederick (Dick) (1846 - 1924) married Elise WEISHUHN and farmed near Frelsburg next to his parents.
|
|
3. Heinrich Christian (1848 - 1870) didn't marry before his early death from typhoid fever when he was twenty-one. He was a wheelwright.

4. Gerhardine Catherine (1852 - 1920) married August KASTEN and they farmed near Frelsburg, Hallettsville, and Nordheim.

5. Wilhelm A. (Willie) (1854 - 1927) first married Amalia (Emma) FRERICHS and later Emma Louise BRAND and farmed near his parents. Willie was also the butcher of the local meat club.

6. Friedrich (Fred) (1857 - 1951) married Mary Margaret SCHROEDER and farmed near Frelsburg and later near Beeville.
|
|
7. Ernst "Theodore" (E.T.) HEINSON (1859 - 1939) married Lucy "Jane" (Jennie) TOLIVER. He was a teacher and they lived at Hallettsville, at Willow Springs in Fayette County, in Wharton County, and at Algoa. After Jennie's death he lived in Houston and Mountain Iron, Minnesota.

8. Theresa Fred. Sophia (1861 - 1937) married Ernst HENNIGER. They farmed near Frelsburg.

|
9. Otto Ludwig (O.L.) (1864 - 1937) married Fred's sister-in-law, Clara Helena (Lena) SCHROEDER and they lived in his parents' home near Frelsburg and farmed.
