Heinrich Heinsohn
It is very unlikely that Henry Heinsohn was ever photographed.

Born Jan 15, 1819, Heinrich was baptized February 3, 1819 in the Evangelical Lutheran Church at Stollhamm. His godparents were Harm Rogge, Diedrich Brand, and Anna Barghorn. He was confirmed into the Lutheran Church at Jade on May 13, 1834. German church records give his occupation as shoemaker or day laborer at Auáendeich.

Henry married Ahlke "Cathrine" Mueller at Jade in 1847. He, Cathrine and their son, Diedrich, were among 111 passengers who boarded the “Neptune” in Bremerhaven on April 9, 1850 and arrived in Galveston on June 12, 1850. The captain was C. Vespermann.

The family was living in Frelsburg at the time of the 1850 census. Other members of their household were his brothers, Gerhard and John, and Henry E. Levy and William Kaiser. The couple moved into nearby Austin County, but Henry and Cathrine both died within about a year.

Their son, George "Diedrich" (1848-1879), was raised by his uncle, Anton Heinsohn. Diedrich married Wilhelmine Frels in 1876, but he passed away just three years later without issue. There are no living descendants of the Heinrich Heinsohn branch of the family.
